Hellooo pretty ladies,
This post will be really long because I will talk (or write) about 3 facial foam that are famous nowadays in Indonesia. Yeah, until now, I am still looking for the best facial foam for my dry skin. If you want to know my previous battle facial foam, you can read here.
This 3 facial foam are from brand Ponds, Granier, and Shinzui. All products are whitening/lightening products. All of them are not pricey and you can find them in many cosmetics store. Yeah, we can say that all are drugstore products. All also have quite similar price for around 1-2 USD.
Ponds, Garnier, and Shinzui Facial Foam
Besides of the prices, all product have tube packaging. I bought the smallest size, but the packaging is same for every size. All also have pop-up lid.
The packaging
To make it easy, lets review one by one. Then I will write about the conclusion afterward. Now, start from Garnier.
1. Garnier Sakura White Pinkish Radiance Gentle Foam
This facial foam is one of Garnier sakura white series. For this series, I only use this facial foam and its day cream. I will talk about the day cream later. Now, I will only talk about this gentle foam.
It says that this product is dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. Yes, I have dry and sensitive skin and I don't have breakout or else while using this product. It also says that this product enriched with sakura extract that deeply and gently cleanses the skin to reveal fresh and pinkish radiant complexion in 7 days.
Garnier Facial Foam's Ingredients
I really like the color and consistency. It has pink beautiful color. It has mild flowery scents. I don't know but I think it may be the scent of sakura flower. But I don't know, I have never smelled sakura flower before. :)
Actually, it can be my favourite facial foam because it doesn't make my skin drier. I also fell cleaner after using this product. Clean but not dry. For whitening effect? Ehhmmm,, I don't see any changing color in my skin. But it's ok, I don't want to have white face while my other part of skin still tan.
Price : Around 15,000 (USD 1.2) for 50 ml.
Repurchase : Yes, maybe.
2. Shinzui Skin Lightening Facial Foam
I bought this product because I'm in love white their body scrub. I've used the body scrub since 3 years ago. I bought this facial foam because of the scent. The scent is flowery but quite different with the Garnier one.
It says that this product contains Herba Matsu Oil that helps change pigmen melanin into leuko-melanin and create skin lighter and smooth. It also has sakura extract that helps skin cell regeneration and cleans dirt.
Shinzui Ingredients
Shinzui facial foam has white color and the scent is very mild. I almost cannot smell the scent. Its consistency is drier than Garnier. For result, I'm not satistifed with this product. I don't see the lightening effect. For the clean effect, uhmmm, no, maybe my skin is just a little bit cleaner after using this product.
Price : Rp 13,000 (1 USD) for 40 ml.
Repurchase : No.
3. Ponds White Beauty Pearl Cleansing Gel
Wow, this product is quite hit nowadays. I hear its advertisement everyday in radio (I don't have TV on my boarding home). This is new product from Ponds. I had used Ponds facial foam and cream since junior high school until college. Then I hope that this product can create my new companion with Ponds. Does this product work well?
This product says it creates fair and fresh skin. This oxygenated formula refreshes & cleanses, removing dirt & excess from deep down, leaving skin so soft. Yeah, it doesn't say lightening or whitening and I also doesn't see whitening nor lightening effect on my skin.
The consistency is gel and quite runny. Its color is transparent. At first, I thought that the color is pink, but it's transparent. Effect on my skin, it may clean my face. I don't really like the effect because it creates my skin slippery-smooth (I don't know the better term). Plus, if I open my eyes while using this product, I feel pain in my eyes. I don't know why. Yes, I don't have problem with other products, but with this product, I have to remember to always close my eyes while using it.
I will write the ingredients since it's difficult to take picture on its ingredients because the tube is really small and has pink-transparent color.
Ingredients : Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Acrylates Copolymer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamide MEA, Perfume, Sodium Chloride, Polysorbate 20, Sodium Hydroxide, BHT, Tetrasodium EDTA, Niacinamide, PPG-9, Benzophenone-4, Hydrolyzed Pearl, Xanthan Gum, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylsothiazolinone, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, CI17200.

Conclusion :
Their consistency
As you can see above, the consistency of Ponds is runnier than Garnier's and Garnier's is runnier than Shinzui's. Ponds's has transparent color. Garnier's is more pinkish than Shinzui's that has white color.
For the effect, on my skin, Garnier's is the best. I just think that Ponds's and Shinzui's have good effect. Good but not advance. Garnier's is better I think because it cleaner. For whitening effect, no product has the whitening effect on my skin. I choose Garnier's only because it cleaner effect. And the scent. :)
