[Battle Review] Wardah Sun Care SPF 30 vs. Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk SPF 25 PA++

Hi beautiful girls, 

I think all of you already know how important the sunscreen is. Especially if we live in some tropical countries like I do, sunscreen is a must. Actually, my first bought of sunscreen product was just a year ago. Before, I just relied on some sunscreen on my moisturizer and powder. Poor me, nobody told me before to wear sunscreen while I was going out. A year ago, I found some dark spots on my face and I thought that it was because of sun's effect. Now, I put some sunscreens on my daily products to wear. 

Now this is time for battle between my two sunscreen products. *drum roll

Wardah Sun Care Sunscreen Gel SPF 30 vs. Skin Aqua UV Mild Milk SPF 25 PA++

 Skin Aqua and Wardah sunscreen products

Both of the products claim that they can be used daily. I will start the review from Wardah first. Wardah is a halal cosmetics. So, if you're moslem, you don't need to worry if you want to choose this Wardah product. Wardah claims that this product is suitable for every skin type. It has gel texture, so it's okay for oily skin also. This product also has Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Pro Vitamin B5. It's said on the tube that this product has 2 benefits : 

1. to keep skin from UV A and UV B, prevent sun's bad effects on the skin. Plus, its Vitamin E is an antioxidant to protect the skin.

2. Aloe Vera extract and Pro Vitamin B5 (Panthenol) as moisturizer for skin. This product also easy to use, comfortable and non-sticky. 

 Wardah's ingredients

Then, let's talk about Skin Aqua. Skin Aqua product claims as a number one UV Skin Care in Japan based on UV Skin Care Sales in Value during March 2010 -February 2011 from SRI Report, Intage Inc, Japan. Mine is the Dry to Sensitive Skin variant but this product has many more variants. I chose this because sometimes I feel that my skin become sensitive and drier. This product also can be used as a make up base, but I've never done that.

To make it easier, I will write the functions in list : 

1. This product claims that it has SPF 25 as a protection from UV B and PA++ as protection from UV A. 

2. It also has Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen to moisturize skin.

3. Vitamin E is used as an antioxidant. 

Skin Aqua's ingredients

 Based on their functions and benefits, they have similar functions. Both of them have Vitamin E. Wardah has Aloe Vera and Panthenol for moisturizing effect while Skin Aqua has Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen. Wardah claims has UV A and UV B protection, but doesn't say how many PA it has. Or does it has another UV A protection substance that I don't know? Skin Aqua has UV A and UV B protection based on their SPF 25 and PA++.

Both of the product come in boxes. Unluckily, Wardah's box is already lost because I bought it several months ago. Wardah box is green (green color like other Wardah products) while Skin Aqua has blue color. Wardah box is made from paper and Skin Aqua is made from thick plastic. I like Wardah box because it's more eco friendly. Actually, both of them are okay without boxes. They will safe even without boxes because their packaging are well. Many other products come only in tube and bottle without boxes. Without boxes are more eco friendly and it will safe the environment. We don't really need the boxes, right?

Wardah sunscreen come in plastic tube and Skin Aqua come in, how to say it, bottle? Yeah, let say bottle with pointed hole. I like the Skin Aqua packaging more because this is unique. I don't see any product which has similar bottle. The pointed hole also prevent too much product come out. 

 Their consistency before and after application

Wardah's product is gel while Skin Aqua's milk. Actually, I do have great hope that Wardah is suitable for oily skin because its consistency is gel but after applying, it's greasy and oily. Although my skin type is dry skin, I feel uncomfortable using Wardah because I feel that my face too oily. I don't have similar problem with Skin Aqua. Both have whitecast, but I think it's okay since they are sunscreen. 

Result : 

As I wrote above, Wardah product is greasy on my face. Sometimes it's difficult to put on some compact powder after applying Wardah.  I'm fine using Skin Aqua since it's water based product. For the sunscreen benefits, I think both work great. 

Conclusion : 

If I have to chose one between the two, I will chose Skin Aqua product. Why? 

1. It has PA++. Although Wardah also said that their product also has UV A protection, but they don't say how much PA they have or maybe they have another UV  A protection substance. I think it's important for Wardah to make this information about it's clear. 

2. Skin Aqua doesn't make me feel greasy. I think Wardah should recreate their product or maybe to make this product clears for what skin type.

[Review] L'oreal Smooth Intense One Minute Anti-Frizz Mask

Hi beautiful girls, 

Now, this time review about hair care. You may already know that I have dry and frizzy hair. I bought this product because of its claims as a anti-frizz hair mask. It's also from L'oreal, the well-known brand for its hair care. 

L'oreal Smooth Intense One Minute Anti-Frizz Mask

Smooth Intense is very useful to solve frizzy, coarse, and unmanageable hair. It will make hair four times smoother and no more frizzy hair for 48 hours. You will get your smooth, silky, and beautiful hair everyday. 

  This product is enriched with argan oil to overcame the frizzy hair into silky hair. Thermo-Protect agent help to protect hair from wet effect such as tousled and unmanageable.

The product come in orange jar. The package is not special. It's similar with other hair mask product. The product has white color. The consistency is cream or maybe a little bit like lotion. The scent is very good, like other L'oreal product.

How to use :

I usually apply this hair mask after shampoing and using conditioner. I leave this product on my hair. After one minute, I rinse this product. 

Result :

This product work as its claims, but it doesn't last long. My hair will become frizzy again after some days, especially if I am too lazy to wash my hair. Fyi, I don't wash my hair daily, usually once every two days, but sometimes I'm so lazy because the weather is so cold, so I wash my hair more than two days. Hehehehehe.....

Another suggestion from me, If you have another jar, it's better if you put half of this product into that jar. Because as the time goes by, maybe because reaction with oxygen, water, or I don't know, the effect of this product is deteriorate. So, to keep the formula, it's better if you use bottle for daily using and another for keeping half of the product. 

What I like : 

- Work as its claims although not so great

-The effect is deteriorate, maybe because I keep it in wrong way.

[Review] Marina Total Care Youthful

Morning girls,

I've told you before that I use Marina Serum for my daily lotion here. Now, it's time for me to write about my night lotion. Actually this is not some kind of night lotion, it's just usual hand and body lotion. But, because it doesn't clear how much SPF and PA it has, so I use this product as a night lotion. This product is Marina Total Care Youthful.

I bought this product more than 3 months ago because this product was very cheap. You wouldn't believe it. At that time, I needed some kind of lotion for the night because my skin was so dry and I didn't want to try body butter because they're too sticky. Then I decided to chose a cheap body lotion and this is it, Marina Total Care Youthful. I was really lucky I found this product because this youthful product claims as a total solution to keep youthful and healthy skin.  Actually, there're many variants of Marina products, but I chose this because of its functions and its color. I love the red color. 

The package is unique, similar with other Marina lotion products. The package is made from plastic. This product is also available in many size. You can choose which size is suitable for you. I chose the biggest size because I use this product as a night lotion and I just put this product in my home. If you wanna bring this product for traveling, you can choose the smallest one. 

This product contains pomegranate, collagen, multivitamin, and sunscreen. It also has advanced formula technology Youth Collagen Complex 8M that helps to replenish and and maintain skin's collagen integrity to keep your skin visibly young and retain its elasticity. It claims as a total solution for youthful and supple skin. 

Its functions : 

1. Maintains skin elasticity.

2. Makes dull skin look brighter and healthier.

3. Maintains skin's texture to keep it smooth.

4. Moisturize the skin to keep it fresh.

5. Maintains a radiant and bright looking skin.

Apply regularly after bathing, and repeat when necessary. 

For best result avoid direct exposure from the sun, even when using a sunscreen containing product. If irritation occurs, discontinue application and consult your doctor.

Consistency of this lotion is light. Love it so much. I don't feel sticky or greasy after applying this lotion. I think this lotion is water based. I always use this lotion when I feel my skin is dry. The scents is not strong. I'm not disturbed by the scent.

Result : 

I can say that this product is quite promising because Marina brand nowadays is expanding and create some new products for their customers. As long as I use this product, I don't see any allergy or irritation toward this product. I'm fine using this product.  

For the effect on my skin, about maintains skin elasticity, I don't see any effect because I'm still young. I also don't see the brightening effect on my skin. But I can say that this lotion is good for its moisturizing, smoothing and firming effect. Yes, I feel that my skin is nourished enough after using this lotion. 

What I like : 

- Super cheap

 - The lotion is lightweight

- My skin doesn't feel sticky or greasy after applying this product

What I don't like : 

- Doesn't clear how many SPF and PA this product has

[Review] Wardah Soft Body Scrub Olive

Hello ladies,

Today is weekend. What treatment that you usually do on the weekend? 

I usually do scrubbing on the weekend. Actually not only on the weekend. I really love scrubbing because after scrubbing, my skin is clean and smooth. I have many body scrub products. I also have lulur, Javanese traditional body scrub. I usually do luluran, doing scrubbing with lulur, everyday. I've used lulur since Junior High School. At that time, I slept with my grandma, and grandma told me that after I used lulur, my body fragrance smelled good. She said that I didn't smell sweaty-teenager fragrance anymore. So, I used to use lulur everyday to scrubbing and to get the fragrance. Hehehehe... 

If everyday I just use lulur that the exfoliate effect is so so. Twice a week I use the body scrub that work really well to remove dirt and dead skin. This product is *drum roll* Wardah Soft Body Scrub. I choose the olive variant because my skin is dry and I need something to moisturize it. After knowing my skin become dry, I changed all of my skin regime included the body scrub.

It claims that this body scrub is gently exfoliates. This soft scrub contains Olive Oil that helps to exfoliate dead skin cells, while helping skin to regain its natural moisture balance. This product said that it can bring out softer and more luminous skin.

This body scrub come in jar. I love the design of the jar. Looks elegant and beautiful. The body scrub's consistency is (how to say it) rough cream. It has soft bead on it. Although it's rough, it doesn't hurt my skin. Sometimes, even I use this product for my face and it turns out fine.

How to use :

Apply over the body and gently massage. Rinse thoroughly. 

Result : 

I really, really love this product. After scrubbing, I could see dirt and dead skin cells dropped as the body scrub changing color into darker. Love it so much. It also doesn't hurt my skin as I doing massaging.
