[Battle Review] Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari & Zoya Exfoliating Cream

Yeee...

Today will be my most favorite post. It's battle review. Today battle review is to compare two drugstore exfoliating products. They are Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari and Zoya Exfoliating Cream Normal to Dry.

Both products

That two products are made in Indonesia. One is from Mustika Ratu, a brand that is famous for its traditional and natural ingredients. Another, Zoya, is new brand that focus on Muslim make up and skin care. Both also in the same range price. The packaging is also similar.

Few months a go I already reviewed the Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari. You can read its review here.

Zoya specifically says that their product that is for normal to dry skin. They have other product for oily skin. While Mustika Ratu is suitable for every type of skins. Zoya says that their product helps remove dead skin cell and has function as a deep cleanser. Mustika Ratu also says that their product helps cleanse and exfoliate dead skin cells. The function of both products are same.

Zoya's ingredients

For the ingredients of Zoya, you can see on the picture above.  Below are the Mustika Ratu Peeling Mundisari's ingredients :
Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Stearic Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Dicalcium Phosphate Dihydrate, Sodium Lactate, Ethoxydiglycol, PEG-26 Jojoba Acid, PEG-26 Jojoba Alcohol, Butylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Trideceth-9 Simmondsia Sinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Curcuma heyneana Root Extract Triethanolamin, Trigonella Foenum Graecum (Fenogreek) Extract, Murraya exotica Leaf Extract, Acrylates/C 10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Methylparaben, Allantoin, Propylparaben, Parfume, Sodium Sulfate, CI 19140, CI 42090

Texture

Texture and consistency of Zoya is smoother and watery than Mustika Ratu. Both products are white. Mustika Ratu has traditional fragrant while Zoya has chemical/bitter scent. I don't taste it but, from the smell, Zoya is bitter.

How to use :
1. Zoya : Apply onto face. Massage gently until the scrub becomes drop. Cleanse with water. Dry with towel.
2. Mustika Ratu : Apply onto face and neck. Avoid eyes area. Wait untill half dry and then gently rub off the powder. Rinse with water.

The difference

Result :
The products work differently. While using Mustika Ratu, you have to wait until the product half dry. You don't need to do that with Zoya. As you can see, the particle of Mustika Ratu is dirtier than Zoya, I assume that Mustika Ratu cleans better. But the number of Zoya's particle is more than Mustika Ratu's, so Zoya may clean better.  I don't know, which is better. You have to massage hard with Mustika Ratu, but you just need to massage gently with Zoya. If you have dry skin, you can try Zoya. If you don't know your skin yet, you can try Mustika Ratu.

Which one is the winner?
Hmmm... Both has positive and negative.
1. Mustika Ratu
+ Cleanse dead skin better ( I think).
- You have to wait until half dry.
- Rub your face off quite hard to remove the dirt and dead skin cells.

2. Zoya
+ Watery. Just massage gently as soon as you apply the product.
- Bitter scent.

Price :
Mustika Ratu : IDR 16,000 (USD 1.2) for 60 gr.
Zoya : IDR 23,000 (USD 2) for 40 ml.

Score : Both get 8/10.

[Review] Ovale Yam Beam Facial Mask

Hi fellow beauties!

Now, I will review my facial mask. I've bought it months ago. I found it in a nearby shop and because I wasn't satisfied with my previous mask, I tried this one out. It's called Ovale Yam Beam Facial Mask.

Ovale Yam Beam Facial Mask

It says in the package that this product will make your face feel smooth, fresher, and keep firmness. It's for bright looking face. Leaves skin keep smooth, firmness, fresh and brighter.

The packaging

The packaging is quite ordinary. It's similar with other cream mask. Its packaging made of plastic. Texture of the mask is cream with white color. It's drying right after I put it on my face. The scent, there is strong alcohol scent from this product. Its alcohol scent usually causes redness in my eyes.

Me with the mask

How to use :
Apply to clean, dry face and neck avoiding eyes and lips area. Leave dry for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water thoroughly.

Result :
Right after masking, my face looks bright and fresh. I doesn't make my face brighten permanently. While masking, it will give pulling effect. I feel my face very smooth. Sadly, I'm really annoyed by the alcohol scent. So decided not to use this mask for my face. It stings my eyes. I like this mask, but I hate the scent. For Ovale company, please, remove the alcohol scent or all alcohol things in the ingredients.

[Review] Dead Sea Foot Cream and Body Lotion

Hi beauty girls,

Now, come back again with me and I will talk about my favourite foot cream and body lotion, but sadly, It's difficult to find these products in Indonesia. I bought these products in Tiger Shop Warsaw. They are Dennish products but made in Israel and usually sold in Europe. These products are called Dead Sea Foot Cream and the second is Dead Sea Body Lotion.

Dead Sea Foot Cream and Body Lotion

This product is sold in Europe. You may find this product in some countries in Europe. This product don't contain paraben and perfume.

The packaging

The package of both products are quite simple. The package is just made of plastic with blue and transparent color and white fonts. The packaging is quite big and it's not travel friendly. You should move to the smaller jar/tube if you want to go out with this products.

To be easier, I will review the product one by one. First, lets talk about the Foot Cream.

1. Dead Sea Foot Cream
It says that this is foot cream with aloe vera, jojoba oil, Vitamin E, and Dead Sea Minerals. Without paraben and parfume. Yes, the information is only that besides the ingredients, but they have the translation on many European languages, like English, Polish, Swedish, French, Italian, etc.

Ingredients :
Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Glycerin, Olive Oil (Olea Europaea), Cyclomethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetyl Palmitate, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract (Witch Hazel bark/leaves), Polygonum Aviculare Extract, Dimethicone, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Maris Sal, Dehydroacetic Acid, Tocopherol (and) Hydrogenated Palm Glyceride.

Result :
This product is reallu good. Super good. I have dry skin on my foot. Really, really dry actually. After using this product, my foot becomes smooth. No more flaky skin on my foot. I usually using this product in the night before going to bed.

2. Dead Sea Body Lotion
Similar with the foot cream, the information in the bottle is only that this product contains natural oil, jojoba oil, and Dead Sea minerals. This product also doesn't contain paraben and parfume.

Ingredients :
Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Isopropyl Myristate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Palmitoyl, Camellia Sinensis, Dimethicone, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Maris Sal, Dehydroacetic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate.

Result :
This body lotion is moisturize my skin. I don't have problem with dry skin after using this product although I'm not regularly use it.

The consistency

The foot cream is thicker than the body lotion. Although thicker, it's really smooth. Both has white color. No scent from both products. No greasy effect from the Body Lotion and so as the foot cream.

Conclusion :
I can't say anything more. Love this product. You can see in the ingredients than the natural ingredients are put in the second and in the middle of the ingredients list. In some product, usually, the natural ingredients are put in the end of the list as a fragrance or complement, but this products. So I can say that this product is more natural than many products.

Sadly, they just available in Europe. Maybe if you want some Dead Sea product, you can check on Seacret that is available in Singapore. At least it is closer than Europe.

What I like :
-Work well on my skin.
- Cheap.

What I don't like :
- Only available in Europe.

Price :
Foot Cream : Around IDR 40,000 (USD 3.5)
Body Lotion : Around IDR 60,000 (USD 5)

Repurchase : Yes.

Score :
9.5/10
